Oakland Township, Pa. — October 7 — Firefighters from the Oakland Township/Oneida Valley Volunteer Fire Company joined forces with Unionville Volunteer Fire Company and Station 54 for a day of foundational firefighter training, focusing on essential skills like hose line advancement, search and rescue, and forcible entry.

The session emphasized that no matter how experienced a firefighter is, mastering the basics remains vital for safety and efficiency. Crews worked side by side to strengthen coordination and refine techniques used in real emergencies.
