Dorothy, N.J. — October 15 — The Dorothy Volunteer Fire Company visited Beginners First Academy Preschool to teach young students about firefighters and EMTs, helping them understand what first responders look like in an emergency.
Firefighters arrived with their apparatus and gear, explaining how they respond to calls and showing children the equipment used during rescues. The visit aimed to reduce fear and build familiarity so that children know firefighters are there to help.
The department continues to make fire safety education a priority, especially during Fire Prevention Week, reinforcing its commitment to community outreach and early safety awareness.
