Dorothy Firefighters Teach Fire Safety at Weymouth Township School

Dorothy, N.J. — October 7 — The Dorothy Volunteer Fire Company visited Weymouth Township School for its annual Fire Prevention Program, giving students a firsthand look at fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Firefighters demonstrated protective gear, explained how breathing apparatus works, and discussed how quick, calm actions can save lives in an emergency. Students learned about fire alarms, safe exits, and the importance of calling 911.

The visit was part of Fire Prevention Week, reinforcing the department’s ongoing commitment to community education. Dorothy firefighters thanked the school for its continued partnership in promoting early safety awareness.
