Fire Safety Lessons Highlight Cologne VFC’s School Visit

Mays Landing, N.J. — October 2 — The Cologne Volunteer Fire Company spent the morning at Shaner School for its annual Fire Prevention Day, meeting with students to discuss fire safety and demonstrate firefighting equipment.
Firefighters provided hands-on learning opportunities, showing students how to stay safe during an emergency and what firefighters do on the job. The visit is part of the department’s ongoing effort to promote early safety education and strengthen community ties during Fire Prevention Week.
