Dayton, Pa. — October 7 — The Dayton District Volunteer Fire Company participated in a joint vehicle rescue drill with the Rural Valley Fire Department and Rayburn Township Volunteer Fire Department. The evening training focused on extrication techniques, vehicle stabilization, and tool operations, allowing firefighters to refine their rescue skills in a realistic setting.
The drill also gave newer members valuable hands-on experience, while veteran firefighters demonstrated best practices for safe and efficient operations. The session concluded with refreshments provided by RVFD Auxiliary members Tanya and Kenzy Bish, and vehicles supplied by Lockhart’s Auto Repair, which also donated a battery-powered drill and driver set to enhance rescue capabilities.
