Lionville, PA - On Sunday, October 12th, at approximately 5:32 PM, the Lionville Fire Company, along with Uwchlan Ambulance, was dispatched to the 1900 block of Conestoga Road in West Pikeland Township for a reported automobile accident. Initial reports indicated that a vehicle had overturned against a utility pole and that a nearby tree was on fire.

Upon arrival, Deputy 47 and Uwchlan Ambulance personnel found one occupant trapped inside the vehicle, with live power lines in the surrounding trees that had ignited a fire. Engine 47-5 arrived shortly thereafter, and crews began stabilizing the vehicle and initiating the extrication process. Rescue 47 soon followed, providing additional personnel and equipment to assist with stabilization and extrication efforts.

The trapped occupant was successfully extricated and transported by Uwchlan Ambulance for medical care. PECO arrived on scene shortly after to secure the hazardous electrical wires.

Lionville Fire Company members operated at the scene for approximately an hour and a half before clearing the incident.
