Kimberton, PA - On Saturday 20 September morning, members of the Kimberton Fire Company attended the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company’s Open House. Traditionally held in the evening, Valley Forge shifted the event to a Saturday morning this year in hopes of boosting community turnout.

The event featured several demonstrations, including car and stove fires, as well as participation from the Friendship Dive Unit, which showcased dive equipment and drones. It proved to be a great community gathering and an excellent opportunity for public engagement.

Shortly after clearing the Valley Forge event, Kimberton crews were dispatched for a tanker response to North Coventry for a reported building fire. The incident was determined to be a cooking mishap, and the tanker was canceled en route.

Fire officials remind everyone to remain attentive while cooking to help prevent such incidents.
