Bayonne, N.J. — October 18 — Metro Urban Search & Rescue (MUSAR) teams from across North Jersey gathered this week at The Bunker training facility in Bayonne for a regional readiness exercise hosted by the Bayonne Office of Emergency Management. The multi-agency training focused on advanced rescue skills used in building collapses, confined-space incidents, and other technical emergencies.

Fire departments and emergency-response agencies that make up the MUSAR network used the session to strengthen interagency coordination, test equipment, and refine operational tactics under realistic conditions. Bayonne OEM officials said that regular joint exercises like this one are essential for maintaining a high level of preparedness across municipal and county lines.
