Ocean Township, N.J. — October 8 — During Fire Prevention Week, the Ocean Fire Company's volunteer crew paid a visit to Antrim Elementary School's students. The Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2 and its regional partners accompanied them as they discussed with kids several important fire safety practices, such as getting low and crawling through smoke, using the "stop, drop, and roll" technique if clothing catches fire, avoiding hiding in hazardous areas like closets or under beds, and staying outside and going to a designated family meeting spot once you're outside.
