October 18, 2025 — The Wanamassa Fire Company is advising residents and motorists of a major road closure scheduled by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).

Beginning Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 7:00 a.m., Asbury Avenue will be closed in both directions between Bowne Road and Cold Indian Springs Road as part of an ongoing roadway improvement project. The closure is expected to remain in effect until Saturday, November 1, 2025.

According to NJDOT, the project involves culvert installation, drainage crossings, and utility work on Asbury Avenue. Access will still be maintained for local residents and businesses via Cold Indian Springs Road.

Motorists are urged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time during the two-week closure.
