Millville Fire Crews Knock Down Vehicle Fire on Roxana Road

Millville, Del. — September 30 — At 12:45 p.m., Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Roxana Road, just north of Burbage Road. Responding units arrived to find a car with fire under the hood. Crews from Engine 84-2 quickly brought the fire under control, keeping it contained to the engine compartment. The incident was managed by Captain Clayton West. No injuries were reported.

Later in the day, MVFC was assigned to cover the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department while that agency handled a house explosion in their district. The coverage ensured uninterrupted response capability for surrounding communities while Dagsboro units operated on the major incident.
