Glen Gardner, N.J. — September 23 — Crews from Glen Gardner Fire Company No. 1, Hampton, Lebanon Township, High Bridge, South Branch, and the New Jersey State Police responded to Hampton School on Tuesday after reports of a burning odor on the third floor. Firefighters searched the entire building, including HVAC units on both roofs, before declaring the scene clear.
Investigators determined the smell came from outside, possibly due to a nearby open burn, and entered through classroom windows. No fire or hazards were found.
