Baden, Pa — September 19 —Four Baden Fire Department members — Firefighters Ryan Hastings, Peter Jackson, Abby Stowe, and Junior Firefighter Mark Laderer — graduated from the first-ever Beaver County Fire Academy this week. The program included 200 hours of Essentials of Firefighting along with courses in hazardous materials, fire dynamics, building construction, forcible entry, firefighter survival, and rapid intervention training.

It was also a busy week for the department, with crews responding to multiple calls and taking delivery of new nozzles and adapters to make both engines identical in setup and operation.
