06 Oct 2025 - Members of Station 62 participated in valuable hands-on vehicle rescue training during the past week. During one of the recent storms, Assistant Chief Lucas Campbell’s vehicle was damaged when a tree fell on it. Demonstrating remarkable generosity, he donated the vehicle for training purposes before it was sent to the scrapyard.

The training session was led by Assistant Chief Campbell and Captain David Church, providing members with the opportunity to practice several critical rescue operations. The exercises covered scene size-up and assessment, the use of stabilization tools to secure the vehicle, safely disabling vehicle power and airbag systems, and performing patient extrication techniques.

Such exercises are essential for maintaining operational readiness and ensuring that Station 62 members are prepared to deliver efficient, effective, and life-saving care during real emergencies.

Station 62 extends its gratitude to Warner’s Towing & Repair for transporting the vehicle and positioning the training prop for the session.
