Students Explore Fire Engine During Fire Prevention Week Visit

October 10 — Bloomfield, N.J. — As Fire Prevention Week continued, Bloomfield Firefighters visited Rainbow Montessori School, giving students a close look at the department’s fire engine and protective gear.
Firefighters spoke with the children about basic fire safety practices—including how to react when alarms sound and the importance of staying calm and alert. The visit helped students understand how firefighters work to keep their community safe both at home and at school.
