On October 10th, Waltham Engine 2 was dispatched to 410 Totten Pond Road for a transformer fire. They found that a tractor trailer took down high tension wires and caused a parked school van to catch fire. The fire then started to catch another car on fire at which point Engines 4,7,8 Rescue 1 and Tower 1 were dispatched.
Firefighters were unable to extinguish the three vehicles on fire because of live wires.
Area business and school were evacuated. The fires burned for about an hour. There were no injuries.
