North Hudson, NY - Volunteer firefighters from the North Hudson Volunteer Fire Department are expressing sincere gratitude to their regional emergency services partners following a coordinated multi-agency response along Blue Ridge Road on Monday afternoon.

On October 12, 2026, emergency resources converged on the Blue Ridge Road corridor to assist North Hudson personnel during an active afternoon incident. The operation drew crucial mutual aid resources from the Newcomb Fire Department and Rescue Squad, alongside advanced medical coverage provided by Schroon Lake EMS and regional paramedic units.

Law enforcement and environmental safety support were integrated on scene thanks to responding troopers from the New York State Police and officers from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Police, who assisted with traffic mitigation, scene safety, and jurisdictional coordination.

North Hudson command also extended praise to the emergency telecommunicators at Essex County Emergency Services, whose rapid dispatching, unit tracking, and inter-agency communications kept operations running smoothly from the initial 911 call through scene clearance.

Complex incidents along remote Adirondack highway corridors highlight the critical importance of regional mutual aid partnerships across the county.
