Volunteer Firefighters Begin Bi-Annual Hydrant Testing Across Town

North Arlington, NJ - Firefighters have begun their bi-annual hydrant pressure testing, which will continue over the next few weeks. Crews will be working throughout the community to ensure that all hydrants are functioning properly in case of emergencies.
As a reminder, the department’s firefighters are 100% volunteers and may be out testing at various hours and on different days. Residents may notice temporary discoloration or brown water during this process, which is normal. Running tap water for a short time will quickly clear it up.
