Rio Grande, N.J. — October 2 — Firefighters and police officers responded to a residence after a carbon monoxide alarm went off, later determining the alert was caused by a faulty detector.
Crews from the Rio Grande Fire Company quickly arrived on scene and confirmed that there were no elevated CO levels in the home. Police officers assisted by keeping the children calm while firefighters conducted their inspection.
The family later expressed their appreciation, thanking both departments for their professionalism and teamwork throughout the brief incident.
