Dobbs Ferry, NY - Firefighters were called back to action early Tuesday afternoon as a working structure fire broke out inside a commercial occupancy along Warburton Avenue in Hastings-on-Hudson.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. On 23 September., the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department, along with Dobbs Ferry Tower Ladder 23, was dispatched to an active fire inside a local business. Arriving units observed heavy smoke and active fire conditions within the commercial space, prompting Hastings Command to immediately confirm a working fire.

The transmission brought Dobbs Ferry Engine 48 and additional mutual aid companies to the scene. Firefighters quickly stretched attack lines through the interior, opened up walls and ceilings to isolate the fire, and established ventilation to halt flames from spreading to upper levels and adjoining properties.

Crews aggressively contained the fire and mitigated remaining hazards, operating on the scene for just under two hours before returning apparatus to service.
