Early Morning Fire Contained at Atlantic Gardens Complex

October 2, 2025, 4:55 a.m. — Firefighters from the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company and Farmington Volunteer Fire Company #4 responded to a reported structure fire in the Atlantic Gardens complex, located in the 6600 block of the Black Horse Pike.
Upon arrival, Rescue 1517 and Engine 1512 from Cardiff found smoke showing from the roof and active fire in the attic area. Crews quickly initiated an aggressive interior attack to bring the blaze under control.
Mutual aid was provided by the Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company and the City of Northfield Volunteer Fire Company #1, who assisted with fire suppression and overhaul operations. Firefighters operated on scene for approximately three hours.
No injuries were reported. The Egg Harbor Township Fire Investigations Bureau is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
The incident was commanded by Cardiff Assistant Chief Craig Thompson.
