Sept. 4, 2025 — The Galloway Township Ambulance Squad (GTAS) and members of the Absecon Police Department were recognized by the Absecon City Mayor and Council for their teamwork in two life-saving incidents that took place in the city.

During the ceremony, officials highlighted the importance of inter-agency collaboration in emergency response. The recognition underscored how the combined efforts of EMS personnel and law enforcement were instrumental in saving lives — with one grateful citizen able to stand alongside the responders who saved him.

“Teamwork is the only way for us to accomplish our mission,” GTAS stated. “EMS does not stand alone in life-saving; our partners in law enforcement are essential to this task.”

The Galloway Township Ambulance Squad has now been serving the City of Absecon for two years, continuing its commitment to delivering high-quality emergency medical services to both residents and visitors.

GTAS extended thanks to Mayor and Council for their confidence and continued support in prioritizing public safety.
