Northpole, N.Y. — September 20 —On Saturday, the Northpole Fire Department was requested to assist the Glen Park Fire Department with a dog trapped in a rock crevice.
Crews arrived to find the animal wedged horizontally about halfway down an 8-foot-deep crevice only 12 inches wide. Firefighters from Northpole and Glen Park worked for over an hour before requesting the Watertown Fire Department for additional manpower.
