Burlington, Vermont — October 2 — The Burlington Fire Department responded early Thursday morning to a structure fire at 371 College Street after reports of smoke inside a residence. Crews arrived within four minutes to find heavy smoke conditions and upgraded the call to a working structure fire.
Seventeen firefighters responded and quickly located and extinguished a fire burning in the rear wall of the home. All occupants had safely evacuated prior to arrival, and no injuries were reported to residents or firefighters. Due to smoke and minor fire damage, tenants were temporarily displaced.
