Firefighter Pratesi Certified to Operate the Salish Star

Bellingham, MA - Firefighter Pratesi has officially completed training and is now certified to operate the Salish Star. Prior to joining the BFD, Pratesi served with the U.S. Coast Guard, bringing valuable maritime experience to the department.
Now assigned to Station 31 on B-Shift as Boat Relief, he will play a key role in marine operations—supporting rescues, responding to emergencies, and helping keep the Salish Sea safe.
The department congratulates Firefighter Pratesi on this important achievement.
