Fire Crews Contain Car Blaze on Mt. Anthony Road

Pownal, Vt. — October 1 — Firefighters from the Pownal Fire Department and Pownal Valley Fire Department responded this evening to a fully involved car fire on Mt. Anthony Road.
Crews arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames and quickly went to work with attack lines to bring the fire under control. The blaze was extinguished without incident, and no injuries were reported.
Units remained on scene for a short time to ensure the area was safe before clearing. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
