Commodore, Pa. — September 17, 2026 — During fair week, the Commodore Volunteer Fire Department responded to two incidents: a motor vehicle accident involving minor injuries and a separate call for downed utility lines.
On Wednesday, September 16, emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision. QRS 540 evaluated the patients while fire personnel managed traffic control. Firefighters stayed at the scene until a tow truck and heavy wrecker showed up. Once the vehicles and roadway hazards were dealt with, crews cleared the scene and resumed their regular weekly duties.
Around 6:35 a.m. On Thursday, September 17, firefighters responded to reports of downed utility lines. Members secured the area and managed traffic until representatives from REA arrived. After that, firefighters handed over the scene to the utility crew and then left.
