Griswold, October 4 — CT: This Saturday night, the Griswold Volunteer Fire Department participated in Spooktopia 2025, a trunk-or-treat event organized by Griswold Park & Rec – Youth & Family Services. Heavy Rescue 455 was brought to the event by the department, and firefighters interacted with hundreds of families, distributed candy, and gave tours of their equipment. hroughout the evening, children and adults alike were invited to walk through and around the rescue vehicle, asking questions about the tools, equipment, and life-saving functions carried aboard. Firefighters explained how their gear supports operations in rescue, fire suppression, and emergency response. The department extended its gratitude to the event coordinators for organizing such a family-friendly evening and for inviting them to participate.
