Mount Morris, Pa. — September 13, 2026 — On Sunday afternoon, firefighters responded to the 1200 block of Buckeye Road following a tree collapse into a home, with the first report indicating potential entrapment.

The Mount Morris Volunteer Fire Company was called out around 6:04 p.m. After the crews arrived, they found that the resident was not trapped inside the home.

Firefighters took the tree away from the house and then helped safeguard the damaged building by covering the roof with a tarp. While the homeowner waited for her insurance company to schedule permanent repairs, the covering was installed.
