Reserve TWP, PA - Volunteer emergency responders from Reserve and Bauerstown executed a coordinated extrication operation on Saturday morning along Geyer Road in Allegheny County, stabilizing an overturned vehicle and removing the windshield to free an entrapped driver.

Around 10:30 a.m. on September 18, 2026, emergency dispatchers alerted Reserve Volunteer Fire Department (Station 317) to the 900 block of Geyer Road, directly adjacent to the local cemetery in Reserve Township, for a motor vehicle collision involving an overturned automobile with an occupant trapped inside.

Reserve VFD deployed its Engine and Squad, operating alongside mutual aid personnel from Bauerstown Volunteer Fire Department to manage the scene. Responders arrived to find the passenger vehicle resting on its side. Firefighters immediately set stabilization struts and cribbing to secure the unstable chassis, eliminating shifting hazards before beginning patient access.

Rescue personnel cut and removed the vehicle's laminated front windshield to create a clear, unobstructed pathway to reach the entrapped motorist. Working carefully within the interior passenger cabin, crews freed the trapped occupant and transferred them to the care of Ross West View EMS for medical assessment and treatment before turning over the roadway for debris clearance and vehicle towing.
