Oaks Corners Firefighters Supported Multi-Department Fire Response

Seneca Falls, N.Y. — September 10 — The Oaks Corners Fire Department responded to a structure fire in Seneca Falls on September 10 as part of a multi-department emergency response.
The incident was called in during the evening after reports of smoke coming from the roof of a two-story residential building on Cayuga Street.
The Oaks Corners Fire Department was one of several agencies that helped Seneca Falls firefighters at the scene.
According to reports from the Seneca Falls Fire Department, the Oaks Corners Fire Department provided rehabilitation support for firefighters working during the incident.
Fire departments from Fayette, Waterloo, Geneva, Tyre, and Clyde also assisted with fireground operations.North Seneca Ambulance, Seneca County fire coordinators, the county fire investigation team, code enforcement, police, and NYSEG personnel were also involved.
The response highlighted the importance of mutual aid when local departments were handling a working structure fire.
Additional companies allowed resources to be directed to fireground operations while other agencies supported essential functions.
