Newburgh, NY - Cronomer Valley FD was dispatched to smoke in the basement of 604 Dogwood Place on October 8th. Cronomer Valley Command requested Middlehope and Good Will Fire Departments to the scene with engines. Firefighters found that the furnace had been serviced the previous day which caused the smoke condition when it was started.
