DuBois Truck Company 72 Backfills Coverage as Clearfield Crews Battle Curwensville Blaze

Clearfield, PA - Volunteer firefighters from the Clearfield Fire Department joined regional emergency forces on Friday, deploying multiple frontline apparatus and a dozen personnel to assist with an active, working building fire in Curwensville Borough.


On October 2, 2026, Clearfield Fire Department dispatched Engine 1 and Utility 1 as part of an escalated mutual aid assignment, sending 12 department members to support fire attack, perimeter operations, and suppression tasks on the active fireground. Crews operated on location to combat the blaze, control fire spread, and overhaul the affected structure.


To maintain continuous emergency protection in Clearfield Borough while local personnel and primary rigs were committed to the Curwensville incident, DuBois Truck Company 72 was brought in to stand by and backfill station coverage.


Following the fireground operations, DuBois crews also assisted Clearfield firefighters with repacking hose, servicing equipment, and placing Engine 1 back into operational readiness before returning to their home district.
