Clearfield, PA - Volunteer firefighters responded to an appliance fire inside a residence in Company 7’s district on Monday, providing critical smoke removal after an oven fire was successfully put out before suppression units reached the scene.
Operating on September 28, 2026, Clearfield Fire Department's Engine 1 was dispatched as part of a multi-apparatus structural assignment to support Company 7. Arriving on location as the third-due engine company, personnel integrated into ongoing operations inside the smoke-affected structure.
First responders determined that the fire had remained strictly isolated to the residential oven unit and was extinguished prior to the arrival of the fire department.
With active burning suppressed and the threat of structural extension eliminated, Engine 1’s crew set up ventilation equipment to systematically clear trapped smoke and combustion vapors from the home before clearing the scene to return to quarters.
