Clearfield, PA - Volunteer firefighters from Clearfield Fire Department Company 1 joined an extensive regional deployment of emergency personnel, search dogs, and specialized woodland tracking units Sunday, assisting BJW Volunteer Fire Company (Company 16) with a search operation for a lost individual.
On September 13, 2026, multiple emergency response agencies were mobilized across the region to locate the missing person. Responding alongside primary units from Company 16, crews from Clearfield Company 1 provided critical ground personnel to establish command posts, coordinate search grids, and conduct field sweeps through surrounding terrain.
The intensive multi-agency operation brought together a diverse contingent of specialized public safety assets. Search and rescue canine teams worked terrain alongside handlers from Elkland Search and Rescue, leveraging tracking resources to support field searchers.
Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) and coordinators from the Clearfield County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) operated on location to oversee operational logistics, establish communications, and manage broader incident coordination throughout the search effort.
