Alburgh, Vt. — October 1 — The Alburgh Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD) held a fire extinguisher training session for employees of the Alburgh Family Clubhouse, focusing on basic fire safety and proper use of extinguishers.
Firefighters provided a hands-on demonstration, allowing staff to practice pulling the pin, aiming at the base of the flames, and using controlled bursts to suppress small fires. The session emphasized quick, safe response in the critical moments before firefighters arrive.
