Oct. 6, 2025 — Over the past week, members of the Bedford Fire Department dedicated long evenings to cleaning, detailing, and inspecting every truck, tool, and compartment in preparation for the department’s annual Inspection Dinner.
As part of tradition, each apparatus was assigned to a crew responsible for ensuring every piece of equipment was checked, every supply restocked, and every surface polished. The effort culminated in a friendly competition, with Westchester County Parade Judges awarding “Best Apparatus 2025” honors. This year, Engine 108 earned the top prize.
On Friday, Oct. 3, members proudly donned their uniforms and celebrated the department’s inspection night alongside friends and mutual aid partners. The event, hosted by the Bedford Village Fire District, was marked by camaraderie and appreciation for the dedication of the entire department.
“This tradition not only ensures our readiness, but it also strengthens our pride in service and connection with the community,” the department noted.
