Extrication Crews Respond to Hickory Street Rollover

Meadville, Pa. — September 19, 2026 — On Saturday evening, firefighters and EMS teams arrived at Hickory Street to handle a car accident in which a vehicle had flipped over and someone inside was trapped. 


The Meadville Fire Department was the first fire and EMS agency listed as responding in the incident report available. The department was sent out around 8:19 p.m. due to a reported crash involving injuries and entrapment. 


Engine 16-2, Medic 16-7, and Squad 16-8 were dispatched. When the crews arrived, they found a vehicle that had hit a parked car and flipped over. One person was still trapped inside. 


The firefighters initially secured the vehicle with struts and cribbing. The crews then employed extrication tools to cut a roof flap and carefully extract the occupant from the vehicle. The patient was transported to a hospital with minor injuries, according to Meadville Firefighters IAFF Local 515.
