Multiple Departments Battle Fully Involved Barn Fire Near Saegertown

Saegertown, Pa. — October 4, 2026 — Several Crawford County fire departments responded to a barn fire that had fully engulfed the structure in the Saegertown area during the early morning hours of Sunday. 


The Blooming Valley Volunteer Fire Department was sent out just before 4 a.m. for a reported active fire. Chief 2 arrived and reported that the barn was fully involved. 


According to WJET/WFXP, the fire was reported in the 18000 block of Leimbach Road. Firefighters spent several hours getting the fire under control. Blooming Valley recognized multiple departments that responded or offered support, such as Cambridge Springs Volunteer Fire Department, Saegertown Fire Department, Venango Volunteer Fire Department 25, West Mead 2 Volunteer Fire Department, Townville VFD & Ambulance Service, and Randolph Volunteer Fire Department 18.
