Boalsburg, PA - Emergency services responded to a significant multi-vehicle collision during Friday morning's travel window, managing active fluid spills and directing congested intersection traffic after three automobiles collided along South Atherton Street.
At 7:50 a.m. on October 2, 2026, emergency dispatchers transmitted Box 351, alerting the Boalsburg Fire Company to the junction of South Atherton Street and Boal Avenue in Harris Township for a motor vehicle collision with unknown injuries.
Chief 3 (Winter) assumed incident command upon arrival and confirmed three disabled vehicles resting in the travel lanes within the active intersection.
Rescue 3, Traffic 3, and Utility 3 turned out to the scene. Firefighters quickly initiated hazard mitigation protocols, laying down absorbent materials to contain and neutralize motor fluids leaking across the pavement to eliminate environmental and fire hazards.
Simultaneously, fire personnel established a traffic control perimeter to safely guide vehicles through the congested corridor and protect emergency workers operating in the roadway.
