Boalsburg, PA - Immediate, decisive action by recreational golfers on Saturday afternoon played a vital role in saving a man's life after he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest on the links of Mountain View Country Club.

At 2:06 p.m. on September 19, 2026, emergency dispatchers transmitted Box 346, mobilizing first responders to the golf facility at 310 Elks Club Road in Harris Township for a critical medical emergency involving an individual in full cardiac arrest near Hole 10.

Before emergency apparatus could reach the fairway, fellow golfers witnessed the collapse and sprang into action without hesitation, initiating high-quality chest compressions on the course. Their rapid bystander CPR maintained vital blood circulation to the brain and organs during the critical early minutes of the incident.

Officers from the State College Police Department and paramedics from Centre Lifelink EMS arrived swiftly on scene, seamlessly taking over advanced resuscitation maneuvers and life-support protocols.

Thanks to the immediate recognition by the patient's companions and the quick integration of arriving medical personnel, responders successfully achieved a return of spontaneous circulation, resuscitating the individual before transporting him to a regional medical facility for continued critical care.
