Boalsburg, PA - Emergency crews rushed to the Boal Avenue corridor late Friday afternoon after a motorcycle and a minivan collided, leaving the motorcyclist injured on the pavement and causing significant traffic disruptions.

At 4:22 p.m. on September 11, 2026, emergency dispatchers transmitted Box 356, alerting the Boalsburg Fire Company to the 1300 block of Boal Avenue in Harris Township for a motor vehicle collision with reported injuries. First-arriving situational reports indicated a collision between a motorcycle and a passenger minivan, with one individual lying injured in the active roadway.

Chief 3 (Winter) arrived on location and confirmed the initial dispatch reports, immediately establishing incident command and directing arriving units to secure the perimeter and assist with patient management. Firefighters staffing Rescue 3 mobilized quickly, providing hands-on aid to emergency medical personnel treating the fallen rider while simultaneously managing scene safety, battery disconnects, and fluid containment.

To protect first responders and medical teams working in the travel lanes during the busy evening commute, Traffic 3 and Utility 3 deployed to manage vehicle flow. Fire personnel directed traffic, established safety detours around the crash zone, and cleared debris and fluids from the asphalt until towing operators removed the damaged vehicles and the roadway could safely reopen to normal traffic.
