Cadyville, NY - The Cadyville Fire Department hosted the 2nd Annual Greg “Car 5” Timmons Memorial Waterball Tournament on Sunday, September 21. This year’s proceeds benefited the North Country Honor Flight. Eight teams participated, including two from Morrisonville, one from Peru, two from Saranac, and three from Cadyville.

The event featured strong competition and great camaraderie throughout the day. The Timmons family, along with Gina Bond and Mike Parsons from North Country Honor Flight, attended and presented trophies.

Cadyville Team 1—Chief Jeremy Favaro, Jamie Gilmore, and Zane Vaughn—took first place, with Morrisonville Team 2 finishing second. The Best Nozzleman award was a close contest between Chief Favaro and Morrisonville Assistant Chief Matt Smith, with Favaro earning the title.

Department paid special thanks to Morrisonville and Peru Fire Departments for supplying water tankers, to the judges and volunteers for their help, and to the auxiliary for keeping everyone fed. It was a day of great weather, teamwork, and remembrance of Greg Timmons’ dedication to the fire service.
