Penn Forest TWP, PA - Volunteer firefighters from Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Company 2 were dispatched to the Willow Way corridor on Tuesday afternoon, deploying heavy rescue and ladder apparatus to provide specialized technical and manpower support during an urgent emergency medical call.
Operating under incident dispatch number 2026-189 on September 8, 2026, the department was requested by regional 911 dispatchers to assist paramedic crews from Lehighton Ambulance Association Advanced Life Support (ALS) with a priority medical call inside the township. Ladder 2222 and Rescue 2255 promptly turned out, staffing the response with volunteer personnel trained in emergency scene support.
Upon arriving at the Willow Way location, firefighters integrated directly into the incident alongside ALS clinicians. First responders assisted with establishing a safe work perimeter, ferrying vital medical equipment into the residence, and preparing technical patient packaging systems.
In challenging residential layouts, fire crews routinely provide vital lifting, moving, and structural maneuvering assistance to safely extricate individuals from tight quarters without aggravating underlying medical conditions.
