Broughton Engine Responded to Arnoni Drive House Fire

Jefferson Hills, PA. — September 6 — Broughton Volunteer Fire Department personnel provided mutual aid support along with several nearby fire departments to a house fire that occurred on Arnoni Drive in Jefferson Hills.
Broughton Engine 270 was dispatched to help Jefferson Hills Fire Rescue during the active fire. Additional fire companies from neighboring areas also arrived to assist as crews worked at the two-story home.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found flames coming from the attached garage, with a vehicle also on fire in the driveway.
Crews deployed two hose lines, one through the garage and another through the front entrance. The majority of the fire was extinguished within approximately five minutes of their arrival.
Later, firefighters discovered that the fire had spread to other parts of the house. The incident was brought under control about 35 minutes after the initial fire suppression efforts, with crews staying on site for cleanup and to ensure no further fire spread occurred.
Local reports indicated that the fire caused substantial damage to the residence, especially in the area of the garage. The Allegheny County Fire Marshal conducted an investigation into the cause of the fire.
Broughton Volunteer Fire Department, which is also referred to as Allegheny County Station 270, serves South Park Township and frequently provides mutual aid assistance to nearby communities.
