Baldwin, PA. — September 6 — Baldwin Fire Rescue helped Jefferson Hills Fire Rescue during a residential fire that was actively burning late on Saturday night. They sent extra firefighters and equipment to support fire suppression and cleanup efforts.

Around 11:30 p.m., Baldwin Fire Rescue was called to the scene as part of a first-alarm response. Engines 2 and 3, along with the truck, responded to the incident. Upon arrival, Engines 2 and 3 helped with fire suppression and later assisted with cleanup tasks.

The Baldwin truck also arrived and set up ladders on the structure before firefighters were assigned to the cleanup phase.

Firefighters stayed at the scene for about two hours while all fireground activities were finished.

To ensure continued service in the South Hills area during the fire, Baldwin Engines 1 and 4 moved to Station 301. This allowed for better response coverage while multiple Baldwin units were busy at the fire.

The response showed how automatic and mutual aid systems help keep staffing and equipment available during active incidents. Baldwin Fire Rescue personnel were released by command once the operations at the scene were complete.
