SWFD Balances Training and Outreach on a Busy Saturday

South Windsor, Conn. October 4 —On Saturday, members of the South Windsor Fire Department (SWFD) juggled emergency preparedness, public outreach, and training.
In order to improve their operational knowledge for handling EV-related emergencies, a group of firefighters participated in specialized training on EVs during the morning and afternoon.
In the meantime, SWFD was represented at the Annual Apple Fest by the Fire and Life Safety Division and Support Company, which interacted with the public and raised awareness of fire safety.
