Veteran Firefighter Earns Promotion at SWFD

South Windsor, Conn. — September 13 — The South Windsor Fire Department (SWFD) has promoted Firefighter Dylan Woods to Lieutenant, honoring his dedication since starting as an Explorer in 2010.
Woods joined SWFD in 2014 and was named Firefighter of the Year in 2019. He has also served on the department’s Rescue Squad for five years, gaining advanced training in special operations.
Leaders praised Woods for his long-standing commitment to the department and the community.
