South Windsor, CT. — September 7 — On Sunday, the South Windsor Fire Department (SWFD), along with the South Windsor Police Department and Ambulance Service of Manchester (ASM), responded to a motor vehicle crash on Sullivan Avenue (Route 194) near Community Road, across from Town Hall.

The single vehicle struck a utility pole and partially rolled over onto a roadside sign. The driver was able to self-extricate and was transported by ASM with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash caused a utility pole to snap, leading to the closure of the eastbound lanes of Sullivan Avenue while westbound traffic stayed open. Responders secured the scene as utility crews began repairs.
