Saxton, PA - Emergency personnel responded to a vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Saturday evening, shutting down the roadway while medical crews treated and transported one injured rider.
At 7:28 p.m. on September 19, 2026, Saxton Volunteer Fire Company (Company 35) and EMS Unit 15 were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Chief 35 arrived directly on scene and confirmed a two-vehicle collision between a passenger car and a motorcycle, with one patient suffering a lower-extremity injury.
Rescue 35 responded with a crew of five firefighters, supported on the scene by technical rescue assets from Huntingdon County Company 17 to assist with operational stabilization, debris cleanup, and hazard mitigation. Advanced life support personnel from AMED 490 evaluated the patient at the scene and handled transport to a medical facility for treatment.
Due to the hazards and wreckage scattered across the travel lanes, Company 35 Fire Police enacted a complete road closure, establishing detours and securing the area until the vehicles could be safely removed, fluids contained, and the roadway cleared for traffic.
